half the time the world is ending; too much time too long defending

Thank you, again, for volunteering for this mission. We are currently assessing supplies this afternoon but we are well underway in our plans. Everyone, please get your full rest tonight and tomorrow night and be ready to leave by the following dawn.

We will be forming five strike teams to infiltrate that will be headed up by Quinn and Rashel (together, there is just no other way), Galen, Lucas, Jez, and Delos. If you’re concerned about your field experience, don’t worry. Your team will have experienced individuals on board and we still have two days of planning ahead of us. Teams will be groups of 2 or 3 from those who passed security clearance and volunteered, and buffered by members of the security staff here in Las Vegas as well.

Rhys, I’m putting you in charge of on site healing and there will be several witches who have already volunteered to help you. I know there were a few more who answered the call to arms but did not specify if they wished to work in a healing capacity. I leave the choice up to them and will direct them to the right team accordingly.

Thank you also to the humans who have volunteered. I realize that many of you feel unsure of how to help, and I encourage you to work with the healers and assist them in any way you can. I do not want you to be without defenses, however, and I will note that we have been amassing a good stockpile of weaponry over the past few years. Basic firearms training and refreshers for the security staff, as well as anyone else who wishes to join, will be going on over the next two days. The Las Vegas Gun Range and Firearms Center has been very gracious enough to allow us to use their facilities for the next two evenings, even if they can’t remember our exact conversations.

I encourage everyone to brush up on their skills and aid those who wish to practice before we leave.

I apologize for the extreme security measures as of late, but as many of you know, we’ve had several breaches and we could not afford to take any chances. Thank to the reconnaissance done, we now have a location for this Sienna and Iliana. We are currently assembling teams to help in our infiltration and rescue.

Because of the high risk factors involved in this, this is a volunteer only mission. Those who have served on our security and mission teams in the past are strongly and very nicely asked to join, but are not required. Wild Powers, as much as I would like to hope we could do this without you, we can’t. The end is finally nigh and without Iliana we have no chance. I feel that your presence on this mission will be the deciding factor in this war. If we can even get all four of you in proximity of each other, then everything will be work out.

As I mentioned, there are several factors that you may wish to consider before you volunteer: We still have no confirmation as to who or what Sienna Dogwoode is. We do know she wields considerable power, as she was able to awaken the dragons. Despite her lack of showing off, this fact alone makes her a threat. She is currently and constantly shadowed by a dragon, and we can confirm at least three more on the premises of this building. We can confirm that Keller was taken there. Whether she is in any fighting condition or not remains unseen, but her soulmate connection has been reestablished. If she is able, and we can contact her, she might be able to give us information on the inside of the building.

Strike teams are what we need first and foremost, those who are willing to go in and fight. But we do also need Healers, and any of those who wish to assist them are also welcome. This will not be an easy battle. This will not be a pleasant experience. But this is our chance to attack with the element of surprise.

Has anyone seen Blaise recently? Or remember when she was last seen?

Depending on what anyone says, we should be assembling a team to find her as well.

I'm not sure who Lupe and Nilsson assigned you to look for but add to that list Vincent Danvers and Vera Wutherby. They're more than likely behind the soulmate breaking that has just happened. Bring them in for questioning if you can.

Claire, please restrict all access to the network to only computers still hardwired to the castle. It's a pain but everyone can take turns.

Also, put extra security and force all posters to use their secured logins. I have a guest who is a little too tech savvy and too eager to help.

I appreciate and thank everyone for the recovery efforts here at the castle. I realize that it was on extremely short notice to transport you here so if you wish to return to Las Vegas, a plane will be leaving this afternoon. At this moment there is no second trip scheduled, so if you need to return, please do so at this time. If there is another need in the future, a second trip will be arranged.

I realize it has been a while since I first requested that meeting, but I think it's about time I make this my priority. We have much to discuss about the prophecy, this vision that Aradia had and what I think it means for the two of you.

When will you be free? Hannah has insisted I do not do anything too strenuous, so my schedule has blown wide open.

We're currently investigating a lead on a coyote shapeshifter who may been lurking around the area and spying for The Council prior to the attack. We don't know how long he's been around here, but we should investigate any attacks in the local area. If anyone has any time to spare, or wishes for a change of pace, I am looking for volunteers. It’s a bit of a needle in a haystack, but we just want to make sure he hasn't bitten anybody.

We do have pressing matters here at the castle, but let us not forget our greater mission: to help humans and Night people live together. So if there are budding new shapeshifters lurking in town, we need to help them as best as we can.

I realize it's a bit backwards with me being here and you there, but at the behest of my soulmate, I need you two to spearhead this. Hannah feels I'm overexerting myself otherwise I would do it. I'm not expecting much out of this. Just the usual scan of the surrounding areas. Hopefully he wasn't here long enough to leave his mark.

In the interest of expediting efforts and quelling rumors, I'll be brief and frank. We've just received confirmation that Black Dawn was under attack. I'm leaving now to access the situation and my team will try to tend to everyone we can.

Any and all able witches who can leave within the half hour, please report back to the mansion immediately. I'll be boarding a plane headed to Washington and request all available assistance from those with healing or medical experience. Time is of the essence.
